Henkel to Acquire ATP Adhesive Systems, Expanding High-Performance Tape Solutions

Henkel has signed an agreement to acquire ATP Adhesive Systems, a Switzerland-based specialist in high-performance water-based specialty tapes, from Arsenal Capital Partners. The acquisition strengthens Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business and expands its portfolio of advanced bonding solutions for fast-growing and technology-driven markets.

ATP Adhesive Systems serves a broad range of end-markets, including automotive, electronics, medical, building and construction, and graphics applications. The company operates across Europe and North America, employs approximately 700 people, and is expected to generate around EUR 270 million in sales in fiscal year 2025.

The transaction supports Henkel’s strategy to grow through targeted, value-adding mergers and acquisitions. By integrating ATP Adhesive Systems, Henkel significantly expands its presence in the specialty tapes market, complementing its existing liquid adhesive offerings.

The acquisition enables Adhesive Technologies to evolve into a comprehensive bonding solution provider, offering customers a broader range of innovative and application-specific bonding technologies across multiple industries.
