BASF and LEMON Partner to Advance Freeflex® TPU Fiber for Sustainable High-Performance Apparel

Seoul, South Korea – October 16, 2025 – BASF and LEMON Co., Ltd. (LEMON) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop innovative apparel materials using Freeflex®, a cutting-edge TPU fiber derived from BASF’s Elastollan® thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The collaboration aims to push the boundaries of sustainable textile technology by integrating Freeflex into LEMON’s waterproof, windproof, and breathable nanomembrane fabrics.

Under the new partnership, both companies will explore joint technology development, new product applications, and market expansion opportunities in the functional apparel sector.
